Two points for getting the answer right.
One point for an answer with errors that shows a reasonable knowledge of what the word or phrase is.
Zero points for a blank, an almost blank, or a wrong answer.
The total score (maximum of 20) is then divided by 4. In keeping with the most common Russian grading system, 2 is the lowest possible score.
See your instructor to discuss how you study vocabulary.
Use flashcards. Go from English to Russian, and make sure that you really know the Russian word before you stop practicing that card. If you can’t flip through your flashcards and write each word in Russian while looking at only the English, you should keep working on them.
